With the fact that we get bombarded with so much electronic junk (mail) every day, sending your prospects or clients something via mail will most definitely make you stand out.
Don’t you still get excited when you receive a hand written letter in your mailbox?
The fact that someone took the time to hand address and stamp the letter themselves means so much more these days than it used too.
I know that there are mailing services such as sendoutcards.com that will allow you to use a handwriting font, and that is still a bet nicer than receiving an email, but it still isn’t quite the same thing.
Even better, sending a bulky envelope or package. 🙂
We all love getting things in the mail, so wouldn’t you expect that your customers would as well?
Don’t worry about sending something out to your whole list. I’d suggest picking 2-3 prospects/clients each week or every other week and sending them a short note to either thank them for being a customer or just checking in with them and saying hi. You don’t want to do any selling during this time, it will defeat the whole point of the note.
This is “building relationships” time. Be genuine about it because people’s BS meters work amazingly well these days and you don’t want to come off as being a fraud. It will backfire on you.
